Answer for Fine Lines and Aging Skin - SK-II SKINPOWER Cream Review

Who doesn't want radiant, glowy skin? But aging and low humidity are the enemies of the skin which cause fine lines and dry patches. That’s why I have to find a new face cream to protect my combination skin as it becomes dry and tight recently. After doing some research online, I’ve found my dreamy face cream - SK-II SKINPOWER Cream!

What is SK-II SKINPOWER Cream?

It is a new version of SK-II R.N.A. Power Radical New Age Face Cream which suits all skin types, while SKINPOWER Cream is designed for normal and normal to dry skin. It promises to recharge skin for a more youthful, healthy look by employing the power of InfinitPower Technology.

What is InfinitPower Technology?

SK-II InfinitPower Technology is a formulation of various skin care ingredients including calla lily extract, dokudami extract, peony extract, vitamin B3, glycerin, hyaluronic acid, shea butter, and glycerin to moisten, firm, and soften dry skin.

How about Pitera™ Contained in the SK-II series?

SK-II SKINPOWER Cream also contains Pitera™ which is a bio-ingredient derived from yeast fermentation that resembles skin's natural moisturizing factors. It contains over 50 micronutrients like vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and acids to condition the skin's natural functions.

All these ingredients sound promising so are they work on my skin? Here is my review of SK-II SKINPOWER Cream.

I like the rich, creamy texture of the moisturizer. It is easy to blend and it takes no time for the skin to absorb the product. It won’t ruin my makeup, create a white cast or leave residues after applying foundation. I even dot it on my eye areas as I am running out of my eye cream 😅. It feels awesome!

It gives me an instant glow and it seals in the natural moisture of my skin. It’s not heavy or oily which I like the most.

The face cream is expensive but it is substantial to last for a while as it comes in 80g, whereas most face creams are 50g.

I use it day and night, after cleansing, toning, and before sunscreen. The scent is clean and feminine. It’s not intense and I enjoy using it.

How Can Achieve The Best Hydrating Result in the Winter?

I feel that if I want to achieve an ultimate hydrating result in Winter, I need to use a facial serum (I recommend SK-II Genoptics Aura Essence as it provides brightening and hydrating results in one single step) before using SKINPOWER Cream as the serum re-hydrates and softens my skin so well, while SKINPOWER Cream firms and locks up the moisture of my skin to prevent dryness and fine lines.

At night, I will use a sleeping pack, such as Shiseido Elixir Skin Care by Age Sleeping Gel Pack W, Shiseido Superieur Elixir Whitening & Revitalising Care Sleeping Gel Pack C, or Aloe Vera after using SKINPOWER Cream.

I won’t use them every night but 2-3 times a week to bring out the skin's natural radiant and luminous the next morning. These products are an easy fix for an intensive facial at home with long-lasting results 🥰

Final Verdict:

SK-II SKINPOWER Cream can be used day and night and before makeup. It is perfect for normal, normal to dry skin. It is not heavy or oily but to achieve the best rehydrating result,

I will recommend using a facial serum before SKINPOWER Cream and a sleeping pack after SKINPOWER Cream at night to achieve the ultimate anti-aging, moisturizing, and smoothing results, especially in low humidity season, or if you have very dry or mature skin.
