What is "Medicated Sekkisei"?"Medicated Sekkisei" is approved by Japan Ministry of Health. In Asia, Kose Sekkisei Series has "Medicated" wording on the package. Due to the popularity of Medicated Sekkisei among our customers, we offer mainly Medicated version but you will still find "Non-Medicated" Kose in our store. The "Non-Medicated" version includes Sekkisei Cleansing Powder, Seikisho products and Kose samples which are in original package and available in Asia and North America.Kose Medicated Sekkisei Whitening Lotion (360ml) The box is damaged in transit but the product is in good shape. It's never been opened and the expiry date of the product is Oct, 2015.
This product contains Lipid-based ingredients, such as Wheat Germ Oil and Vitamin E Acetate, to provide fresh moisture and hydration, while improving dryness and complexion of dry skin areas. With oriental plant extracts, this product prevents aging spots, regulates excessive sebum and improve the firmness of the skin. For all skin type (except ultra sensitive skin)
How to use? After cleansing, saturate cotton pad with the lotion and massage it in patting motion to enhance penetration. Can be applied on eye areas.Kat ReviewsThis product is one of the best selling whitening lotion in Asia. It can be used as eye and face mask: simply saturate cotton pad or paper mask and leave it on the skin for 5 minutes to relieve dryness and redness caused by sun exposure. I use Kose Medicated Sekkisei Whitening Lotion and Emulsion to even out my skin tone and I do see the differences after several applications: my skin is radiant and dewy. However, this product cannot light up your natural skin tone and it takes time to see the effectiveness compared with products that contain Hydroquinone.Despite of this drawback, the lotion does contain several oriental plants to eliminate skin irritation, provide hydration and brighten dull and tired skin. For more information about Kose:www.kose.co.jpwww.sekkisei.com
Yes. It does. It is better to use this lotion with cotton pad after washing to remove dead skin cells for brightening result. At the same time, a good sunscreen, such as Kose Medicated Sekkisei Essence Milk and Shiseido Anessa Perfect Essence Sunscreen, should be applied in daytime to prevent pigmentation and aging caused by excessive sun exposure.
Medicated Sekkisei is available in various Asia markets including Japan, while non medicated version is offered in US and China. As far as I know, the ingredients are not much different but Kose offers two versions anyway to cater custom requirements of different countries.
Having said that, our customers prefer Medicated so we only stock in this version unless only non medicated is available.
I would like to suggest Kose Medicated Sekkisei Lotion which is used as toner day and night. This product helps to brighten your skin complexion and improves acne mark.
Another product that I like is SK-II Facial Treatment Essence which is used after cleansing, toning but before moisturizing. It helps to encourage skin cells turnover for smooth and soft skin texture. It improves large pores and sebum production too.
If you want to choose a whitening skin care series that is less expensive and target your skin concern. I will suggest Sofina Beaute to complement the above products. Here are my suggestions:
1) Sofina Beaute Massage Foam Cleanser (170g) (for all skin)
2) Kose Medicated Sekkisei Whitening Lotion (200ml)
3) SK-II Facial Treatment Essence (150ml)
4) Sofina Beaute Day Protector SPF50 PA+++ (Fresh) (oily skin) (32g)
5) Sofina Beaute Whitening Emulsion (120ml) (I - Nighttime Moisturizer) (oily & acne prone skin) (nighttime only)
