What is "Medicated Junkisui"?
"Medicated Junkisui" is approved by Japan Ministry of Health. In Asia, Kose Junkisui Series has "Medicated" wording on the package. Due to the popularity of Medicated Junkisui among our customers, we offer mainly Medicated version but you will still find "Non-Medicated" Junkisui in our store. Most of them are body products and samples which are in original package and available in Asia and North America.

Kose Junkisui Refreshing Spots Serum (25ml):
Contains several Chinese herbal extracts, such as Moutan Bark Extract, Peony Root Extract, Fennel Extract, Coix Seed Water, Soapberry Extract and Salicylic Acid for smoothing, tightening and refreshing the skin with excess sebum and concerned pores. Skin becomes smooth and comfortable with cooling sensation.

Oil-free, colorant-free and non-comedogenic

For normal to oily and oily skin

How to use?
Use every morning and night after cleansing. Dab the sponge tip on concerned area (such as t-zone and spots) directly to blend into the skin.

I really like this spot serum. It did not irritate my skin the many times I would put it on through out the day, and you always get this cool refreshing feeling on your skin after putting it on. The only draw back to this is that it would either take a while for the serum to get to the sponge or the sponge would break quickly so be careful! Other then that it was great!!!

hi there, i just came across to the sofina product range recently and quite interested to know if any range of its products will suit me. I have combination skin, t zone are mildly oily but cheeks side are flaky and dry esp during winter. Found out my skin is not good, looks like inside got bumps, uneven surface, i think they are the so called white head and black head. I am at the age of 23. stressful uni life. Looking for a range of products which will suits me. any recommendation?
I would like to recommend Sofina Jenna for your consideration. This series is designed for young and dehydrated skin. If you spend most of your time indoor with air conditioning, I will suggest you to use below products:

1) Sofina Jenne Milky Cleanser (Daily Foam Cleanser - 100ml) 2) Sofina Jenne Lotion (II - Moist) (Hydrating Toner for normal & dry skin - 140ml) 3) Sofina Jenne Day Protector SPF24+ PA+++ (II - Moist - normal & dry skin) (30g) 4) Sofina Jenne Jelly Moisturizer (Nighttime Moisturizer - 50g)

For your whitehead/blackhead problems, you might want to try Kose Medicated Junkisui Acne Spot Serum for your t-zone area. This product can be used day and night to prevent blackheads, whiteheads and acne. Here is product detail:

I will also recommend Laneige Multiberry Yogurt Peeling Gel (120ml) to remove dead skin cells for a smooth result. This product is suitable for all skin types and can be used 1-2 times a week:

If you want to try a deep cleansing mask, you can consider Kose Medicated Seikisho Whitening Mask which is good for oily and combination skin:

I have combination skin type and my skin concerns are anti-acne and also balance out with the dry areas. I purchased this cleansing gel because it was recommended from the Sofina perfect UV white protect spf 50 + PA +++ that I purchased. To remove sunscreen, basically any makeup cleanser would be do right?

Basically, a makeup remover (cleansing oil or cleansing gel) is able to remove sunscreen. To achieve the best result, dry your hand and face before using the cleansing gel. The sunscreen and makeup will be dissolved while massaging. Then, wet your hand and massage your face in circular motion. Use lukewarm water to rinse off the cleanser completely.

A daily face cleanser is also recommended to remove dirt and excess sebum after a makeup remover is used.

Try Kose Medicated Junkisui Acne Spot for acne problem and here is my suggestion:

1) Sofina Jenne Milky Cleanser (Daily Foam Cleanser - 100ml);
2) Sofina Jenne Lotion (I - Fresh) (Refreshing Toner for oily skin - 140ml);
3) Kose Medicated Junkisui Acne Spot Serum (for t-zone and acne);
4) Sofina Jenne Day Protector SPF24+ PA+++ (I - Fresh - oily skin) (30g)  or
Sofina Jenne Day Protector SPF50+ PA+++ (for all skin types) (30ml)

Sofina Jenne Day Protector is a moisturizer with sunscreen function so no special cleanser is needed to remove this product. If you use Sofina Perfect UV White Sunscreen, a makeup remover is recommended as this sunscreen is waterproof.

1) Sofina Beaute Makeup Cleansing Gel (150g) (for all skin)
2) Use (1) to (3) products as stated above;
3) Sofina Jenne Jelly Moisturizer (Nighttime Moisturizer - 50g)

Question: i am an asian at age of 23 and i am still looking for products that are good for my skin. i tried many but only to find myself breaking out in pimples but yet i have flaky dry skin around the nose and the T-zone while many said i have oily skin for such clog pores. please do recommend if SK 2 is suitable for me.

i easily get clog pores even with exfoiliation and daily wash, i use toner after use with a light exfoiliating scrub wash everyday, and proceed to applying anti aging cream.

i used nivea, Loreal, Olay, Skintelligence, Dior and sadly most of them fail to prevent my pimples. and occasional flaky skin. i even got massive pimple outbreak with Dior and Skintelligence around my neck while i was using them.

please please please do recommend something for me.

Answer: It seems that you have dehydrated and sensitive skin. I am not sure if your skin is oily as the breakout may be caused by wrong products that you use.

Try to avoid products contain alcohol and fragrance which may dry out your skin and trigger sensitive problem. At the same time, use facial scrub 2-3 times a week and apply face mask afterward to moisturize and replenish your skin.

If you are using foundation or makeup base that contain silicone as major ingredient, it may clog your pores even though the product creates a smooth layer on your skin. You may want to skip them for a few days to see if your skin is improved.

Meanwhile, you may have blemishes if you use product with high dosage of Vitamin C. I have the same problem too so I choose Shiseido HAKU for whitening to prevent any blemish. That being said, a lot of people do see the whitening and anti-aging results of Vitamin C.

I will suggest Kao Curel or Rohto Hadalabo for your consideration. These products are mild enough and designed for dehydrated skin for dewy and healthy complexion. Once your skin is getting better, you can use SK-II Facial Treatment Essence to boost up skin's cells turnover for clearer and smoother results. At the same time, you may want to use Kose Medicated Junkisui Acne Spot Serum for your acne problem.

Here are skin care regimens:

Kao Curel (designed for dehydrated and sensitive skin):
1) Kao Curel Foaming Wash (daily face wash - all skin types)
2) Kao Curel Moisturizing Lotion II (face toner) (normal & combination skin)
3) Kose Medicated Junkisui Acne Spot Serum (for acnes but you can also apply to t-zone area for refining pores)
4) Kao Curel Moisture Face Milk (oily & combination skin)
5) Kao Curel UV Protection Face Milk SPF25 PA++ (oily & combination skin)

Rohto Hadalabo (designed for dehydrated skin):
1) Rohto Hadalabo Tamagohada AHA+BHA Daily Face Wash (contains mild AHA and BHA for clogged pores)
2) Rohto Hadalabo Japan Goku Jyun Hyaluronic Lotion (Light - for oily skin). You may want to use regular Rohto Hadalabo Japan Goku Jyun Hyaluronic Lotion if your skin is getting drier in this season or your flaky skin problem becomes unbearable.
3) Kose Medicated Junkisui Acne Spot Serum (for acnes but you can also apply to t-zone area for refining pores)
4) Rohto Hadalabo Japan Goku Jyun Hyaluronic Emulsion

For facial mask, you can try Rohto Hadalabo Japan Goku Jyun Hyaluronic Mask (4 Sheets) or Hisamitsu Japan Lifecella Gel Mask European Spa (3 sheets) for rejuvenating, smoothing and calming.
