What is "Medicated Junkisui"?
"Medicated Junkisui" is approved by Japan Ministry of Health. In Asia, Kose Junkisui Series has "Medicated" wording on the package. Due to the popularity of Medicated Junkisui among our customers, we offer mainly Medicated version but you will still find "Non-Medicated" Junkisui in our store. Most of them are body products and samples which are in original package and available in Asia and North America.

Kose Medicated Junkisui Washing Cream (120g):
Contains several Chinese herbal extracts, such as Mountain Bark Extract, Peony Root Extract and Fennel Extract, to clean the dirt and remove dead skin cells, while preventing acnes and blemishes without drying out the natural moisture of the skin.

For normal to oily and oily skin

How to use?
Wet the hands and face. Take out an appropriate amount from the tube and lather. Clean the face in circular motion and pay attention on t-zone and chin areas where acnes and blackheads are most likely accumulated. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.

AVERAGE OVERALL RATING     (5 out of 5)

In love with it for the very first use. Just a pea size is enough to create a gentle foam. Face feel really fresh after wash, but a little dry. However if you use toner of the same line, then it wont be a problem. I bought all products of the junkisui line, and just one night, my face feel wonderful when i wokeup. The redness reduces quite a bit. Just one time use. Yea, u read it right! Just one time use!

I used this product for about 3 days already and the results are amazing. I don't use much (pea size amount) so I know this product will probably last me for a little while. It's a very very good price for what it does. It has a refreshing smell. it's a tangible smell, so don't worry if your sensitive to smells (personally, I think it smells good). Although I only used this product over a few days I noticed my cysts are a lot smaller! I highly recommend this product to anyone who has problems with cysts or minor acne problems.

My husband and I use this product and like it a lot. I always apply a small amout on my hands and rub it softly to foam before apply to my face. My skin doesn't feel dry after cleasing, and it does prevent acne quite well. We also like the smell of it.

What is the difference between this and the kose jinkusui foaming wash? Which one is better?

Dear Elle,

Kose Medicated Junkisui Washing Cream is available in Japan, Hong Kong and some selective Asian countries. Due to different marketing concerns and regulations, Kose has two versions of Junkisui available worldwide but in terms of formulation, I don't see much difference between medicated and non medicated.

That being said, our customers, most of them are Asian, prefer medicated as they use this version back to Asia, so we only stock medicated to cater their needs.

Best Regards,

I have exhausted myself looking on the internet for products that fit my needs. I am looking for a product line that will address: early fine lines, oily skin, large pores. I think that this would be good for all but my first issue, so should i add another step into this product line for early signs of aging? if so what do you suggest that isnt to expensive and is suitable for my skin care type. thank you sooooooo much

Dear Ashley,

Kose Medicated Junkisui Washing Cream is suitable for oily and acne prone skin. You can use this cleansing foam, Junkisui Lotion (used as toner) and Emulsion to improve your skin problem. But speaking about early signs of aging and large pores problem, I will suggest SK-II Facial Treatment Essence which is used after Lotion and before moisturizer. You can buy a sample size to see if it is suitable for you.

I have large pores problem as well and I see my skin texture and pores are refined after using the essence for 2 weeks. Although the visible result may varied, I still suggest you to try SK-II Facial Treatment Essence which is one of our best selling items at all time.

I have a lot of acne scars. Will this help with my problem? And my skin is only dry because of those acne scars. And I have very small white heads along with that, there not noticable but they are really tiny bumps on my skin. Also, my acne scars makes my skin not smooth looking when I apply make-up.

This essence helps to encourage skin cells turnover so over the time, the dead skin cells that sitting on top of acne spots will be peeled off naturally for softening and smoothing results.

However, if you want to improve your acne skin problem, I will suggest Kose Medicated Junkisui or Ettusais for cleansing, refreshing and balancing sebum production. Here are product details of Kose Junkisui and Ettusais:

These brands will also help you to take care of the whiteheads and clogging pores problem.

Question: What to use for moisturizer? I am using Junkisui face wash, and SK II treatment essence. I would like to use a moisturizer or cream after the SK II treatment essence. Do you suggest Junsikei product? I have big pores and oily T zone skin and in my 50's. I would rather use Junseiki or Kose produce since it is more affordable for me than SK II.

Answer: You can use Kose Junkisui after SK-II facial treatment essence. Here is my skin care regimen:
1) Kose Junkisui Face Wash
2) Kose Junkisui Face Lotion (toner for refreshing and improving oily skin problems)
3) SK-II Facial Treatment Essence (essence for improving cells turnover to achieve healthy and refined skin)
4) Kose Junkisui Face Emulsion (face moisturizer for re-hydration)
5) Sofina Very Very UV Cut Milk SPF24 PA+++ (30ml) (A lightweight sunscreen for UVA/UVB protection)
