What is "Medicated Junkisui"?
"Medicated Junkisui" is approved by Japan Ministry of Health. In Asia, Kose Junkisui Series has "Medicated" wording on the package. Due to the popularity of Medicated Junkisui among our customers, we offer mainly Medicated version but you will still find "Non-Medicated" Junkisui in our store. Most of them are body products and samples which are in original package and available in Asia and North America.

Kose Medicated Junkisui Emulsion (120ml):
Contains several Chinese herbal extracts, such as Chinese Lovate Water, Moutan Bark Extract, Peony Root Extract and Fennel Extract, to improve oily skin condition and create a light barrier to protect the skin from environmental damages. Helps to hydrate and smoothe out rough skin texture.

For normal to oily and oily skin

How to use?
Use after cleansing, Junkisui Spots Serum, Massage Serum and Refreshing Lotion. During day time, apply sunscreen (such as Kose Medicated Sekkisei Day Essence) for UVA/UVB protection.

Product Questions and Answers

Name: Mina
Skin Type: Oily / Normal to Oily
Question:
What is the difference between these two lines: Kose Seikisho line and Kose Junkisui line? I have oily skin in the T-zone but also very sensitive and easily breakout. I also have a lot of white heads and scars due to the last breakouts. Can you recommend any products or skincare regimen to prevent and treat whiteheads, also help to fading acne scars? Thank you sooo much.
Answer:

Dear Mina,

Kose Seikisho is for cleansing purpose but some items will be discontinued once they are sold out. Kose Medicated Junkisui is designed for oily and acne prone skin which is able to improve acne skin problem.

Since you have sensitive skin, I would like to recommend Kose Medicated Sekkisei Lotion which acts as whitening toner to improve acne pigmentation and reduce accumulation of dead skin cells. You can also consider Kose Medicated Junkisui Lotion to improve oily skin problem but some of our customers prefer Sekkisei Lotion as it will not dry out skin surface while enhancing skin complexion as a whole.

After using Kose Medicated Sekkisei Lotion, you can use Kose Medicated Junkisui Emulsion to protect and re-hydrate your skin. This emulsion is designed for oily, acne prone skin and its' texture is lighter than Kose Medicated Sekkisei Emulsion so it is more suitable for your skin type.

Question:
Hi, I've sensitive and oily skin. It's oily in the T zone area, and sensitive at those cheeks areas. I'm also prone to acne, especially around the jawline and neck, which I suppose is due to my hormonal changes. Currently I have large pores with whiteheads and acne scars, left over from the past. I would like to ask if I'm suitable to use this SK-II product and whether SK-II product line is suitable for me.
Answer:

Dear Elaine,

Since you have sensitive skin, I would like to recommend Kose Medicated Sekkisei Lotion which acts as whitening toner to improve acne pigmentation and reduce accumulation of dead skin cells. This toner is relatively milder than SK-II treatment essence so I believe you can use it day and night.

Question:
I have exhausted myself looking on the internet for products that fit my needs. I am looking for a product line that will address: early fine lines, oily skin, large pores. I think that this would be good for all but my first issue, so should i add another step into this product line for early signs of aging? if so what do you suggest that isnt to expensive and is suitable for my skin care type. thank you sooooooo much
Answer:

Dear Ashley,

Kose Medicated Junkisui Washing Cream is suitable for oily and acne prone skin. You can use this cleansing foam, Junkisui Lotion (used as toner) and Emulsion to improve your skin problem. But speaking about early signs of aging and large pores problem, I will suggest SK-II Facial Treatment Essence which is used after Lotion and before moisturizer. You can buy a sample size to see if it is suitable for you.

I have large pores problem as well and I see my skin texture and pores are refined after using the essence for 2 weeks. Although the visible result may varied, I still suggest you to try SK-II Facial Treatment Essence which is one of our best selling items at all time.

Thanks!

Question: What to use for moisturizer? I am using Junkisui face wash, and SK II treatment essence. I would like to use a moisturizer or cream after the SK II treatment essence. Do you suggest Junsikei product? I have big pores and oily T zone skin and in my 50's. I would rather use Junseiki or Kose produce since it is more affordable for me than SK II.

Answer: You can use Kose Junkisui after SK-II facial treatment essence. Here is my skin care regimen:
1) Kose Junkisui Face Wash
2) Kose Junkisui Face Lotion (toner for refreshing and improving oily skin problems)

3) SK-II Facial Treatment Essence (essence for improving cells turnover to achieve healthy and refined skin)
4) Kose Junkisui Face Emulsion (face moisturizer for re-hydration)
